Accuracy*
Our final gate for Phase 1 is Accuracy*, which will always have an asterisk in our assessments and be defined as “accurate enough”. This is because true accuracy assessment is best left to specialists in specialized testing environments; we are seeking accurate enough for our use cases. Therefore we will only validate Accuracy*, meaning we could not show a monitor to be providing inaccurate information, given the tools at our disposal (through simple checks with reference devices and evaluation against other sources of truth). If we can prove a monitor is providing inaccurate information, then laboratory-based accuracy assessments should be disregarded.
Accurate* devices cannot be shown to be inaccurate in our testing.
